Do staves really make that big of a difference?

YES, they do!

Lighter, slimmer and more durable than bamboo or acrylic, my metal staves are superior! While they collapse and open like regular fans, they can be tightened with no risk of cracking. They also come in any color (to disappear or provide a color pop), including metallics! Plus, I produce a variety of sizes for ostrich plume and boa fans, shapes for pheasant and peacock fans, and custom stave shapes are possible as well. You’ll be surprised by how much they can positively impact your performance as well as save you repair time/money (especially for troupes and prop departments). 
 

Donna Touch metal staves are:

  • Designed and tested by a performer who is a skilled fan dancer interested in enhancing the look of fans and your performance capabilities (not just selling you more fans or props).
  • Cut from commercial grade aluminum on industrial machinery.
  • Powder coated (a chip resistant paint) to order in a wide variety of colors.
  • Lighter and longer than most of the more acrylic options.
  • Durable and won’t crack if dropped or when the bolt is tightened.
  • Collapsible, but can easily be tightened to make them static for performance.
  • Thin and narrow which makes the fans appear more dense, especially in motion.
  • Easier to grip for a number of reasons including the placement of the bolt near the bottom of the stave (putting less of the stave end in your palm) and shorter bolt height (customizable on a 1″, 1.5″ or 2″ bolt depending on your handhold preference and open/closing due to layering).
  • Not damaging to your feathers featuring a proprietary hole patterning that pulls less on your feathers.
  • Never requires glue for assembly so the feathers can be easily removed or repurposed.
  • Customizable with shapes and structures that can be designed and cut to fit your needs.
