On 24 of the 12″ staves in burgundy bliss, this set features a top plume and front drab from Fancy Feather. There were a few plumes remaining, so I added them to the inside.
Note that these fans are a double layer, but they use 14 12″ staves each. That makes them more fully rounded at the top and denser lower down. While it doesn’t give you quite the same effect as a triple with that extra curl in, adding a couple extra staves is a very budget friendly way to get a lush look. The staves are misty silver poly (a nice silvery/grey that blends so well with light bold colors), bottom row of upcycled drabs and top row of a custom lavender lilac plumes by Fancy Feather.
When extra gets a dash of extra! Each fan is built on 14 champagne forest 14″ staves with teal front drabs from The Feather Place and 28 upper and middle custom ombre mint to ivory plumes from Fancy Feather. This is what a dash of time, sprinkle of creativity and a pinch of expertise can get you to too. Extra!
Double layer peach plumes! These fans feature 24 aluminum staves in freckled peach and 48 ostrich predyed peach 18-24″ plumes from Fancy Feather. The color on these are gorgeous and very full. I’m still learning lighting for feathers… their little fibers toss so many color dimensions!
These fans feature 24 aluminum 12″ staves in white, 24 white plumes and 48 predyed mint 18-24″ plumes from Fancy Feather.
Check out this set done for Rockin Robin!
This combo of feathers is truly the best with the black drabs and two layers of fluffy fluff fluff bright red plumes! These are on 24 of my 12″ aluminum staves in satin black with feathers from Fancy Feather.
Just a simple conversion with some really great feathers for Carson St. Clair. Her double layer on the 8″ staves condensed things a bit for a dense, lush set in this light color. Plushiest peach!
Converting to my aluminum staves still gets you lighter fans, slimmer grip, easier open/close, less damage to your feathers and potentially larger size. Consider a conversion to refresh your fan, when adding more feathers or switching to a specialty design.
These delicious delights feature 24 24″ boa staves, 24 8ply ostrich boas in 40″ lengths from Fancy Feather and a custom triple dip dye at Rainbow Feather.

Peacock is a delicate feather, but a beauty that draws you in. These fans feature 14 of the 12″ standard staves, back loaded with double layer of Dersh ostrich plumes in black and front loaded with peacock feathers from Feather Place with the vein dyed black.
Sure, fans are often inspired by the beauty of birds, but seagulls were unexpected! Pacific Blue came with a concept and a layout of feathers. After a couple rounds of design and sizing, we went with a structure that has 3 part body and 8 regular staves per fan. The fan does collapse for travel. It’s a very design that is sure to soar!
