Summer Walker Tour

Creating fans for the Summer Walker Finally Over It tour was truly a delight! Bentley Rebel (@bentleyrebel | bentleyrebel.com) reached out and we immediately got to planning. The goal was not only fans for the ensemble dancers, but that Summer herself would solo with! We had about a month to get the customized fans out …

The Moth

Stunned is how I would describe myself during the initial discovery call with @SashaVelour and Johnny Velour. I think I literally asked, “Do you want me to do this project because you truly think I’m capable or other makers said no?” I’m sure I instilled a lot of confidence! LOL But they were both lovely …

Carousel Ponies

One of my absolute passions is saving vintage feathers and I was of course thrilled to do this for Dita Von Teese! She has a lovely set from Catherine D’Lish that were assembled in 2000ish. After touring frequently with them, they were in a museum for some time and then owned by a collector. Along …

Diamonds and Dust Tour

Once upon a time, @ditavonteese herself reached out about doing fans for the upcoming production of @diamondsxdustuk. I was equally excited and terrified, but it was a successful project! @toscacyr led the creative charge on the ensemble pheasant set I posted earlier. Luckily @katrina.inprogress had done some wide flourishes recently, so she made coming up …

Nandu Handle

One been getting a lot of new inquiries for structures with alternative grips lately, so sharing these as an example. Moving the center of the fan and still allowing them to collapse or come apart for travel has always been an issue. I mean you can just bolt on a front plate handle, but it …

Valerie Swirl

@valerieveils was actually an early adopter of my front plate idea on her ostrich fans. So you might recognize a bit of this motif, however this more structural, rather than purely decorative, plate is getting added onto her pheasant fans. These recently landed to her, so watch her page for when they hit the stage! …

Antique Bulk

For a look at these in action, check out @lavendelleburlesque’s recent birthday performance video! These single layers still look fantastically fluffy. They are a great, economical option for groups, troupes and shows. Sets match Flirt 2 in Antique on donnatouch.com/ostrichbasic.

Lilac Cloud

This delicate color combo was the vision of @meg_mesmeric. It’s always fun to take the sketch into reality for these ombre sets! Set matches Standard 4 – Specialty on DonnaTouch.com/ostrich. Remember, for specialty dyes, I avoid recreating custom patterns without asking the original performer for permission.

Moon Sword

Sword for swallowing done for @_cryptid_kid! This will take some additional practice, but is sure to delight (and if you’re me… terrify!) audiences soon! Full cut out of stainless steel, custom handle design by @katrina.inprogress polished to a delishly smooth edge. Can’t wait to see the top rhinestoned.

Allura Flame

Sometimes mistakes make for the best fans! @alluraflame ordered a set of Blondie (the inner color), but I messed up my counts. With Wheat also in stock, I really loved the color combo and we went with the two tones (not usually available with my basic and bulk options). So *happy* accident turned sweet set!

Blacklight Glow

When Rainbow Feathers Las Vegas asked if I’d be interested in blacklight reactive feathers, my immediate reply was gimme, gimme, GIMME! Limited to these colors at the moment, I hope to test other brights with the specialty dye. But any plume fan configuration can be upgraded to use this dye.  Thesw sets are 28 single …

Black Haus Creative

Epic corporate event with costumes, choreography and entertainment management by @black_haus_creative. Beautiful work by choreographer Omar Garibay. Performance took place in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. Special thank you to Maria Kent for selecting our fans and staves. For the project, we delivered 12 sets (24 individual) double layer plume fans in white.
