Creating fans for the Summer Walker Finally Over It tour was truly a delight!
Bentley Rebel (@bentleyrebel | bentleyrebel.com) reached out and we immediately got to planning. The goal was not only fans for the ensemble dancers, but that Summer herself would solo with! We had about a month to get the customized fans out for practices to begin — which actually felt a bit cushy compared to some tight turn needs. The photos below aren’t actually the final. Before the second stop of the tour (that was luckily in Chicago), my apprentice and I were able to add a third row of fresh pink feathers to the ensemble sets. After quite a bit of practice, this was a really great way to add some additional fluff for the remainder of the tour. Special thank you to the lovely dancers who let us crash their dressing room for the day!
Creating a tour that transforms a massive arena into an vintage cabaret lounge is a tall ask. But through the costumes, props, ensemble performances and storytelling, Summer Walker did just that. Congrats to the team on a successful tour!
